My Practice
How I workI provide a safe, confidential, empathic and non-judgmental environment in which you can explore the difficulties you have and gain personal insight. The therapeutic relationship is crucial to provide both support and challenge, and together we will seek to gain understanding and develop strategies for change.
My Training
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, having trained at Peter Symonds College, Winchester, Central Counselling and Training Service, Southampton, and the Metanoia Institute, London. I am currently finishing an MSc in Psychotherapy with Middlesex University.
My Experience
I have experience working in a Counselling Service in Hampshire and as a GP Counsellor in Dorset alongside my private practice. I have also worked with young people in schools and am CRB checked.
I am a qualified Secondary School teacher and have an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University.
Safeguards
I am a member of the Metanoia Institute, London, and the European Association of Transactional Analysis(EATA). I abide by the code of ethics of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and receive regular Clinical Supervision to ensure that I am working ethically and effectively.
